Poker terms beginning with a "3"

3-2-1 Poker

A variation of the poker game where players are dealt three pocket cards. Similar to Omaha, players must use two pocket cards to form a poker hand.

3-Bet

A 3-bet is an aggressive poker move where a player re-raises after a previous bet and raise.

3-Bet Fold

A situation where a player 3-bets with the intention of folding if further re-raised, typically used in bluffing.

3-Bet Light

A strategy involving making a 3-bet with a weaker or marginal hand, often to put pressure on the initial raiser.

3rd Bullet

Refers to a third bet in a hand, often on the river, as a continuation of an aggressive betting strategy.

3-Bullet Bluff

A term used when a player bluffs three times, on the flop, the turn, and the river, to create the impression of holding the best hand.

3-Card Brag

3-Card Brag is a variant of 3-Card Poker originating in the United Kingdom.

3-Card Poker

3-Card Poker is a variant played with three cards. The objective is to create the best possible poker hand with three cards.

3-Card Stud

A variant where players are dealt three cards, two face-up and one face-down.

3-Flush

A term used in 3-Card Poker when a player has three cards of the same suit.

3-Gapper

A term describing a hand where the cards have a three-rank gap between them, such as 3 of Any Color 7 of Any Color or 4 of Any Color 8 of Any Color. It's often used in discussions about drawing hands in games like Texas Hold'em.

3-Handed

A poker game with only three players participating. 3-handed is a type of short-handed poker.

3 of a Kind

Refers to having three cards of the same value (ranging from 222 to AAA). Also known as triples or trips.

3-Max

A poker tournament format where the maximum number of players at a table is three.

3rd Pair

In community card games, the third highest pair on the board, often used to describe a marginal hand.

3-Putt

A term describing a player who has folded three consecutive hands.

3rd Street

In Five Card Stud, it's the third card dealt to each player (the second card revealed).

3-Street

A hand where bets have been placed on the flop, turn, and river.
